We all need time-wasting web sites: to clear the brain on a stressful day, to kill time during that brutal conference call, to entertain yourself when you’re bored. Here are 4 sites that will give you 5 minute reprieves from daily life:

1. LikeBetter.com - Ok, yeah, the whole concept is pretty tired. You see two photos, pick which one you like more and then see if you picked the more popular one. The fun comes when the little graphic brain turns pink, showing the “computer” now has enough info to start estimating what your guess will be. This part isn’t limited to photos, but more personality types. Sure, the computer was way off at times, but this was way too much fun to just stop playing after a couple of rounds.
2. Staring Contest - How long has it been since you engaged in a classic staring contest? Wanna try to win one against a computer? Bring it on….
3. The Pattern Game - There is literally no point to the pattern game, that’s what makes it so obvious. Move your mouse, watch the patterns. Click the screen to change the style, click that circles at the bottom to change the pattern type. That’s it, you’re done. Yet it’s still so addictive.
4. Arms - If the pattern game has no point, then Arms has even less. There’s nothing else to say here. Go see for yourself.
